Marble

On the east side of Paros is the village of Marble. It took its name from the marbles scattered in the area. Here you can admire beautiful old mansions and churches. The vast plain of Marbles extended to the sea, there are countless small Perivolakia with pleasingly natural reeds. At the foot of the mountain Antikefalos found ancient pottery, which allegedly was buried the ancient city of Iria. From the Marbles have access to the beaches Kalogeros Tsoukalia and Glyfades.

7 km from Parikia, the center of the island is the village of Marathi, which survived for three millennia remains of the ancient quarries where the quarrying of the famous Parian marble (garnet). It is worth visiting the monastery of Agios Minas and the convent of Our Lady of Thafanou.

Kostos

Northeast of Paros is Kostas the smallest villages. The village was the Venetian era, and keeps up to date the traditional Cycladic architecture. Kostos is the birthplace of Athanasios Parios spiritual man who stood out during the period of the Enlightenment. It is worth visiting the church of St. Panteleimon and St. Marina.

Ageria

Ageria located 12 km from Parikia and offers hiking to the monastery of St. Theodore and the monastery of St. John the Spilioti. Here is the folklore museum "Scorpio." Near Ageria are small beaches Lolantonis of Tripitis and Glyfa.

Aliki

Aliki is a seaside village with a picturesque harbor and beautiful beach. Near the sea is usually calm lie the ruins of an ancient city. Is mainly for quiet family holidays. Worth visiting the folklore collection of self-taught artist M. Skiadas and sample fresh fish.

White

The white is the most mountainous village of Paros, built in an altitude of 250 m in the center of the island. Cycladic whitewashed houses and narrow streets, surrounded by olive, almond, pine and eucalyptus trees make a beautiful backdrop.

Movements in the village are away, so you have to leave your car at the entrance. Worth Byzantine cross the paved road that connects Elm with Prodromos and visit church st trinity with valuable Byzantine icons.

OAK

You can enjoy relaxing walks in the village, visiting the ancient shipsheds (grooves on the rocks for the prophylaxis of ships), the ancient cemetery, the cave of demons with impressive stalactites and stalagmites and swim in the beautiful Golden Beach.

Just 1 km from Marpisa is Piso Livadi. It is a seaside resort in the picturesque harbor where fishing boats moor. Summer Piso Livadi is connected with Naxos, Ios, Santorini, Amorgos, Mykonos, Delos, koufonisia and Antiparos. Visit the church of St. George Thalassitis (13th century) with old frescoes. Piso Livadi has excellent infrastructure for accommodation and entertainment.
